CONSULTATIONS: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Immigration is a complex area of law and many things may affect your legal rights. As lawyers, we are happy to sit down and talk with potential clients to figure out ways to help them.

In order to do so, we require a formal consultation. This is the only way for us to be able to ask the questions we need - some of which you may not even be aware to ask - in order to provide accurate advice. It also gives us the chance to listen to you and your concerns, as well as answer any questions you may have.

Setting up a consultation is easy! Just call the office at 703.964.0245 and speak with a legal assistant.

We regret that we cannot simply chat about your case without an appointment for a formal consultation. This is for your protection and ours: conversations about legal rights and responsibilities should never be informal chats, no matter how simple the issue may seem to you.

We make it easy. Formal consultations include review of reasonable documentation and up to 1 hour of face-to-face time with an attorney and costs $250.  You may also set up a formal telephone consultation (or via Skype @hmalawfirm), and email or fax us documentation.

By setting up a consultation, you agree to be added to our LawFeed, a periodic email newsletter containing targeted updates in the areas of law we practice, as well as discounted "specials" we run from time to time.  You can unsubscribe at any time.

To set up your consultation:
  1. Call the office at 703.964.0245. Our assistant will work out a time that works for you.
  2. Decide whether you would like an in-office consultation or a telephone consultation.
  3. Pay the consultation fee.
  4. Send (by email to [email protected]) or fax (to 703.997.8556) any documents you'd like the attorney to review.
  5. After the consultation, you get 30 days to decide whether you want to hire us for your whole case.  If so, the consultation fee will be deducted from the attorneys' fees.  If you decide you don't want to hire us, you owe us nothing more.

Note: if case documentation is lengthy we sometimes charge a "case review fee" which may be anywhere from $250 - $500. These are not consultations.  We regret that we cannot simply chat about your case without an appointment for a formal consultation. This is for your protection and ours: conversations about legal rights and responsibilities should never be informal chats, no matter how simple the issue may seem to you.

To schedule a consultation, call or text the main office at (703) 964-0245 or return to the consult page and use the form to send us an email.
