Home Cleaning Company Offers Good Returns for an E-2 Investor

The home cleaning business has always been a good income earner in the Washington area. Many well off residents don’t wish to clean their own homes or work commitments because they don’t have the time.

This is a good opportunity to get into a stable but growing industry. It’s not so easy to start a totally new business, but there are well supported franchises available in the area. One of the leading home cleaning franchises that have opportunities is priced at around $250,000, which is a reasonable price for an E2 investor. There is a guaranteed income set at $150,000 so this too fits into the livable income that has to be reached by an E2 visa holder. The franchise is run by the owner and two employees do the work. This just fits in well with the employee requirements of the E2 visa as well as offering full involvement of the new owner in running the business.

Once you have bought a home cleaning service the most important part of the job is to maintain a good relationship with your clients so that they're totally satisfied with you work. If you want to build your business then word of mouth is one of those things that help in a business such as home cleaning. Trust is paramount and clients quite justifiably want to know the face of who they are dealing with and that doesn’t mean the cleaner that turns up at the door five times a week but the person who is getting the money for the services.

The E-2 visa requirements involve proof that you have invested the full amount needed to have a completely viable business. Normally, you would hire a lawyer to draw up a contract which sets out the terms of the purchase. The funds for the purchase would be kept in an escrow account until the visa is approved. Consular officials will also want to see evidence that the cleaning service you are buying will be able to offer a suitable return on your investment. You should hire an accountant to look carefully into the business records and recent tax returns of any existing business you are thinking of purchasing and prepare a detailed summary of the prospects for the business.

The sorts of people who have the money for cleaning services often move in tight circles and it may not be long before you get a recommendation if your company does a good job and then you can grow and grow. This means more jobs for Americans which will please the E2 visa renewal office and there’s more money for you to improve your lifestyle and that of your family. Sooner or later you might have a business that’s worth a lot more than the $250,000 that you paid for it which could bring your eligibility to obtain a green card even closer if you are then able to invest a further $500,000 from your profits. You don’t need to leave the United States in order to convert your E2 visa to an EB-5 immigrant visa but you have to go through certain stages to be approved for this immigrant status visa.
